Some of my clients describe me as an insightful, gentle and warm person who provides a listening ear, a fresh perspective, and a vision of a more hopeful future.
I have been licensed as a professional counselor since 2015. My passion for working in a helping profession comes from my experience of walking alongside a child living with chronic illness. I have experienced the fear of not knowing how best to help my child through the challenges that were so unique. I had supportive family, friends and colleagues and yet I needed a safe place where I could talk about my fears without worrying about how my words would impact others. I just wasn't sure how I was going to handle the stress and pace of my life.
People who find meeting with me helpful often have great lives and loves ones yet feel like life has gotten out of balance. They often want to increase their capacity to love and care for someone else and maybe even themselves without feeling so overwhelmed by their responsibilities. They don't really feel depressed but are exhausted and just know something needs to change but are unsure how to make that happen. They feel like they've lost their sparkle and want to get it back. Some are wanting to make a career shift and want to learn more about how they're wired so they can find a good fit.
Maybe this is you and you're not yet sure if you really need help. While you are wondering, consider setting up a time to talk and explore what counseling is all about. The consultation is free and helpful in determining whether we'd be a good fit for this stage of your journey.
I look forward to meeting you!
